Well hello everybody ^^
My name's Jinx, I'm french so my english is quite limited, as you'll see... xD My real name is Amélie, I live in the extreme south of France, not far from Marseille. And I'm glad to see that there are other people who like him. Because in France, when I speak about him, I only get a general "UH?!". And when I say "you know, Beckett, the wig man who wants to be the king of the world", everybody stares at me and then they go back to their conversations about how beautiful Orlando is, or about what happened yesterday in our American Idol (named "La Nouvelle Star" in french). I felt definitely alone in my addiction, and then a friend of mine came to me and said "look, you wiggy man has fans on the other side of the Earth". I just laughed and when she gave me the adress, I stopped to laugh and I registered. So here I am, wondering about how I am gonna speak in an understandable way. Also, if anybody speaks french... xD I first saw Tom Hollander in PotC II, I remember driving my nails in the armchair and in my friend's arm, and she remembers too. She said he was ugly, and I said he had amazing eyes. She said his eyes were not that amazing, and I replied that her eyes were defective and again his were deeply amazing. And since that, I saw 9 of his movies (including PotC III, Wives and Daughters, and Cambridge Spies). These movies are quite hard to find in France and I saw mostly of them in english. I remember when I went to Paris last month, I met a real English who didn't speak french. He had this wonderful accent, you know, and I asked him "please, can you say "I'm affraid currency's the currency of the realm" ? please, sir...". He might thought I was crazy, but he did it, and then my state was close to hysteria. I was almost unable to show him the way he asked me for.
Hem. That's me, I can't stop when I start to speak. ^^" Sorry xD
PS: I'd like to thank a friend of mine for fixing the mistakes xD because usually, I do a lot of mistakes in english. Hope she'll be online every time I come to this forum ^^"

Welcome Jinx!! All of us here understand you completely so have no fear! I took 2 years of Franch in school . . . mais . . . Je parle français très mal. Je suis désolé.
Tom would love to learn French. He admires the French actress Clémentine Célarié and bemoaned the fact that he did not have any scenes with her.
I agree with you about his eyes. They are electric! "Il a de beaux yeux. ils sont électriques"

No, even though he mentioned in the Film 2007 about how beautiful Marion is. I remember reading an article where he was talking about Ms. Celarie among other things like the Dinard (spelling ?) film festival and Gaulic cuisine. If I remember correctly, it was the article when he is being interviewed about playing in King Lear. You might already have it hear somewhere. If not, I try to find it.
By the By, aren't you excited that Tom is in Southern California!!

Makes it hard to concentrate on work... I wonder how long he will be here...those photos indicate that he arrived last Thursday.

No problem. I think that I have the article on a jump drive. I will post it if you don't already have it. As you can probably relate what a loooonnng flight that must be from London to LA. The jet lag!! Yikes! I wonder where he likes to eat at or who he stays with when he is there. Very exciting. Are you sure you don't want to spend the weekend in Los Angeles?!

Merci pour l'accueil, thank you very much =)
you can't imagine how happy I feel... Just by looking at the big picture of Tom up there... I'll smile all day long tomorrow, especially in the english class, I guess =]
as you wonderful English-Speaking people say, "you made my day" =]
I've heard about Célarié, and I talked with my father about her. I'll learn more when I'll ask my french teacher tomorrow I guess ^^
Et, oui, les yeux de Tom sont électriques. =]
Southern California ! Why is he there? =)

Southern California ! Why is he there? =) Il filme Le Soliste pour Joe Wright (le directeur de Pride & Prejudice et Atonement) avec Robert Downey Jr et Jamie Foxx. How was that?

Yes please post it in the "Read & Smile" area. He probably stays at a hotel all by his lonesome. Yes...it IS a long flight. Especially when your flight is delayed like ours was. I have no intention of going up there...unless he calls me. Hehe. He has been invited to come down to San Diego if he is ever in LA but I seriously doubt he will. But then I never in a million years would have predicted him mentioning Thomagination in an interview either...

Welcome, Amélie! There is no need to be self-critical of your English. You are among friends here and are doing very well. Have fun!

Welcome Jinx!! All of us here understand you completely so have no fear! I took 2 years of Franch in school . . . mais . . . Je parle français très mal. Je suis désolé. This sentence was perfect, so I'm sure your french is not as terrible as you say =] Tom would love to learn French. Can I teach him? xD Bienvenue cher Amélie! Enchanté pour faire votre connaissance. That was close =] "Enchanté de faire votre connaissance" is the exact one, but I know that french is quite difficult to speak when it's not your native language =] but that was good, thougt ;D Il filme Le Soliste pour Joe Wright (le directeur de Pride & Prejudice et Atonement) avec Robert Downey Jr et Jamie Foxx. How was that? That was just perfect Thanks again for your friendly welcome ^^

True! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I know what you mean about showing up uninvited. It would be kinda of a creepy stalking feeling!

Well, I admit that I double-checked my French to make sure I didn't say anything like I like his eggs. In French class, I was notorius for mispronouncing "eyes" for "eggs"! (yeux -vs-oeufs) "Leur prononciation semble si semblable à moi" **hee - hee
