I think it might be a mistake at artinfo. The way that piece is written implies that Frances and Fanny are two different people! "Frances Ternan, a respected actress and a more successful one than Nelly or her sisters Fanny and Maria." It's either bad writing or a simple mistake. There was certainly a thread for this in the News department

I have confirmation from a VERY reliable source that Kristin is playing Fanny Ternan. Now, if IMDb can get their act together it would be nice. They have the role as Catherine Ternan.

Short article about Invisible Woman... Tom: Fiennes exhausted by DickensTom Hollander has revealed he had to be a voice of encouragement to Ralph Fiennes on his new film The Invisible Woman, as he was exhausted from directing and playing the lead. The film tells the story of Charles Dickens' mistress Nelly Ternan. Director Ralph stars as Dickens, while Tom plays his friend and fellow writer Wilkie Collins. Tom said: "It was brilliant. he was acting and he was directing and it was very, very impressive watching him do it. "I was playing his friend and I needed to do that on the set as well because he was exhausted the whole time. "Playing the lead and directing something, I was watching him right at his fingers end in terms of his energy. "But I've seen the film and he's absolutely brilliant in it." The film was adapted by The Iron Lady's Abi Morgan from Claire Tomalin's book of the same name. Felicity Jones stars as Nelly Ternan and Kristin Scott Thomas plays her mother. www.theargus.co.uk/leisure/showbiz/10517153.Tom__Fiennes_exhausted_by_Dickens/

This beautiful film has gained nominations on both sides of the Atlantic in the BAFTAs and the Oscars. I was hoping to see it just after Christmas because it opened in the US on Christmas Day but unfortunately San Diego, California didn't rate to get it so we have to wait until next weekend. I am so anxious to see it. Thanks for posting Sue! xo
