Sir Trevor McDonald and Tom Hollander Light up a Life for Helen & Douglas HouseA special concert to remember those we have loved The ‘Light up a Life’ concert, organised by Helen & Douglas House, the childrens’ and young adults’ hospice charity, is for anyone to remember those they have loved and to enjoy good music provided by local people. The concert will feature the Oxford Welsh Male Voice Choir, Radley College Chamber Choir and the Manor School Choir. Sister Frances Dominica the founder of Helen & Douglas House will lead a moment of reflection and the church will have Christmas trees to hang remembrance tags from. Mary Boullin, Helen & Douglas, said; ‘We hope that anyone who enjoys beautiful music and who might like to celebrate the life of someone they have loved, will join us for what promises to be a very special evening. Some families who have stayed at Helen & Douglas House will be there and we hope that everyone will have a memorable, uplifting and most importantly, enjoyable time.’ Sir Trevor said; ‘'I am very pleased to be involved with the concert. Not only is it a wonderful evening of music and reflection, it is for a charity I admire immensely.' Tickets for the concert, priced at £12 each or £6 each for under 16’s, and/or a remembrance tag for the Christmas Tree, are available now.
