Great news! Hm... from December to March...? I should try to go then, I think. Not sure if I can manage though. Hope it will become my first ever experience of seeing Tom on stage!

Kevin Spacey is the Artistic Director at the Old Vic and I've seen him in several plays there - it's my favourite London theatre. In an interview announcing the new season at the Old Vic he commented that Tom Hollander is "one of the finest and funniest leading actors of his generation" ;D

I don't think I can get home this year for Xmas, I don't get a lot of time off in my current job. Now I'm extra bummed about that.

SOOOOO Exciting. We are going to try to get there. It will be our 40th anniversary in January. What a great way to celebrate! Oh wow, how absolutely perfect! I hope you guys can swing it! Neil proposed to me three weeks ago, and we're planning on going to London (as well as some other European cities) for our honeymoon. We're not planning to get married until next October, but I'm trying to convince him to do a short trial run at the beginning of next year, just to make sure we'll like it. Kevin Spacey is the Artistic Director at the Old Vic and I've seen him in several plays there - it's my favourite London theatre. In an interview announcing the new season at the Old Vic he commented that Tom Hollander is "one of the finest and funniest leading actors of his generation" ;D I think they're friends! They met through Sam Mendes. It's a pretty well known fact that Tom was in the room when Kevin was filming the garage weight lifting scene in American Beauty. I used to loooooooooove Kevin when I was in high school, and seeing him still gives me some warm fuzzies. Sort of like an ex that you're still good friends with. I like to keep up with his career still, and I think he's a great AD for the Old Vic; he chooses season lineups with a lot of integrity to both classic and current theatre. I'm in the Old Vic New Voices Network, which is the American offshoot of their young theatre professionals group. Also, they have a young theatre professionals group! Love the Old Vic!

I've seen Kevin Spacey at the Old Vic in 'Richard II', 'Speed the Plow', 'Inherit the Wind', 'The Philadelphia Story', National Anthems', and 'A Moon for the Misbegotten'. I couldn't believe my luck when he was appointed Artistic Director. Every time I see him live on stage I can't believe it. He's such such an excellent actor. He also comes to the stage door after every performance and signs autographs ;D I live 120 miles from London and I never take it for granted that I can get there, but if I lived in London I'm sure I'd be at the theatre every night

Congrats on the engagement! And you WILL love London. Go go go! Oh, I know I'll love it. The going early to "check it out" is just a scheme to see Tom's play! ;D

I have been known to be pretty tricky too. I have no doubt. Though methinks Neil is on to me, but pretending otherwise. That makes me half as tricky, but twice as lucky to have snagged myself a smartie.

We're both creative professionals, which unfortunately = not a lot of money, but hopefully we can figure it out. I'm glad you got your tickets, I'm sure you will looooove it! We did A Flea in Her Ear at school. It's hilarious!
