Hi, I'm Fiona - and for a long time I've admired Tom Hollander although sometimes (such as with The Lost Prince) I fail completely to recognise him - which just means he is excellent.
My first sighting of Tom was probably in Wives and Daughters, and I remembered him subconsciously because he bugged the hell out of me in the next thing I saw him in (Maybe Baby I think) because I just couldn't place where I knew him! And then he bugged the Hell out of me in Gosford Park too.
Anyway, whatever he is in even if he is only in it for 5 seconds I always end up enjoying it. He is such a good actor and unlike many actors I like it's more then just a cute face.
I love how scruffy he usually looks normally - with his hands stuffed in his pockets and his hair looking like he woke up and ruffed it up a bit more. How absolutely normal and unshowbiz he happens to be. But how excellent he is on screen.
Am watching Desperate Romantics, and there he was in that. He's in EVERYTHING. It's quite fun really to play "Spot Tom Hollander" and I really want to see Valkyrie now even if I have to put up with Tom Cruise.
Anyway, he's my favourite actor and I'm glad I'm not alone.
Hello!

Hi Fiona! Please forgive my lateness in welcoming you! I saw your name at the bottom of the forum as a new member but I was on my way out and did not have time to say hi. Anyway... Welcome! I think you will enjoy it here. It has been a bit quiet lately but I am sure it will pick up. Let me know if you want to participate in the birthday book (See TBP thread). It is a bit late but maybe I can give you til the end of the weekend since you just got here. Glad to hear you are watching Desperate Romantics too! Isn't he wonderful in it? I am enjoying it immensely. ~Deb

Thanks Lady Beckett and beckettologist!
He's wonderful in everything. I'm desperate to watch Cambridge Spies (missed it whilst at uni) and has anyone seen Bedrooms and Hallways?

Oooh I have found Cambridge Spies on youtube... not bad quality. I better check later on if it is complete. Don't want to watch two episodes and then find out it's missing the rest!

Hello, and welcome, Fiona. Sorry I'm so late! I was quite busy with Pirate Festival and the likes. I had to order Cambridge Spies It took about four months. Completely worth it if you can see the whole thing. : )
