In just a few hours, the awards ceremony will be underway at The Brewery in London! (fingers are crossed... wearing my lucky underwear...for 'continuity')

In just a few hours, the awards ceremony will be underway at The Brewery in London! (fingers are crossed... wearing my lucky underwear...) Me too! I was really out of it this morning (what can I say...I have been sick) and I tweeted to Ian Martin asking what they were doing when he wished the Loop team luck. Doh! Then I remembered what today is! Thanks for posting this Sarah. I am hoping it might be on iPlayer. If it is I will grab it for everyone to see. Surely Tom is there. We must check Getty later too!

I AM SOOOOOO PISSED! In the Loop only picked up Best Screenplay, and neither Peter Capaldi nor Tom won for their categories. (John Henshaw took the Best Supporting Actor). While I'm thrilled they were at least recognized for Screenplay, I'm prejudiced I suppose, and feel they all should have swept the categories for which they were nominated. Argh!! www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article6946678.ece

Guys, I am not surprised that 'In The Loop' didn't get the recognition it deserves. Believe me when I say that I know what goes on behind-the-scenes at these award shows/festivals. In The Loop was a sensation at The Sundance Film Festival - people love it. However, this has NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING to do with getting an award...I am sorry and sad to inform you that, being part of the organisation team of my own country's International Film Festival and Awards...the rewards are given to the various artists/films based on criteria that you the public have no idea of.... If you think for yourself, you will realise what those are...everything to do with promoting an agenda, scheming for profits, and favours to a select few....ALL awards are given out based on these 'unwritten' criteria...it's a fact... So don't be sad for In The Loop and Tom...be sad for those idiots that have sold their souls!! Happy Christmas! P.S. The facade of the 'voting system' is for just that reason...
