When I was heard the German - voice of Beckett at first time, I was a bit shocked. Tom´s voice is wonderful, but his phasing a debacle. In PotC 2, it sounds like a smurf. Would you listen? www.axelmalzacher.de/stimme.htmAfter: "Tom Hollander - ein gutes Jahr - Fluch der Karibik 2 - 3" is written: Hörprobe (sound clip). Click it and listen. I dont like this voice. What is your opinion?

What is your opinion? Well first of all let me say that I have nothing against German. But I have to say that the guy they chose to do Beckett is awful! Why don't they just have Tom do it in German? He probably could. You are right Ani...the voice is too high and cartoonish.

As you say - cartoonish, absolutey abasing. It was a shock. All people figured: "Oh sweet, what a droller little Lord." Blessedly, Tom is an elusive actor. Cutler was still a very good rascal and we love him. Did he speak or understand German?
