Cathy Cathy you are the first to notice...or at least to comment on it. I love it too. We can have these for other things too...like film premieres and such. Mainly I put it there so no one has an excuse for forgetting it. We shall have a virtual party for Tom.

I love it!...I noticed the clock the other day and had a giggle....I think a virtual B'Day party for Tom would be brilliant...we should all get on here at the same time and chat!...plus you could tell Tom to come on here at that time too....hehehe if you know what im talking about....maybe this should be in the Endeavour Thread for more discussion...(*taps nose*)...

I thought that I had posted about the bday countdown as well. I think it is a great idea! I have been thinking about which location to take a picture at here in Fayetteville. The University of Arkansas's mascot is a Razorback so maybe I could wish him a "Pigssooey" *hee-hee. He will be mortified, probably Actually, Fayetteville has a lovely antebellum "old south" towne square which is a botanical treasure which would work well, too. Topaz

We are not opposed to humor either! I would love to make him laugh. Actually I am hoping Hollandazed is going to do what SHE talked about. Too cute!

I love the idea of a party and I hope everyone chimes in on the birthday card for Tom. He has given all of us so much through his body of work and just someone wonderful to talk about. It lightens my load a little every day to get on this board and read all of the fun posts. This is a celebration of a great talent and humanitarian. And much thanks to Deb for bringing all of us together. One little trip to London and look what happens. Ahem......Thanks for listening.

great ideas! we should definitely throw a virtual b-day bash and invite our guest of honor! if for no other reason, he can stop by and view special b-day messages/wishes and our world-wide e-card of celebration!

Thank you all for your kind words. This is all a labor of love and respect for someone who truly deserves more attention. We can work on the birthday chat party idea. Perhaps when it gets closer to his birthday I will write to him again and see if he can be persuaded to join us. Thing is, unless it cam straight from him, how would we know if he *really* joined. Anyone could easily masquerade as Tom. Maybe I could give him a secret code word...or maybe by then I will hear from him. He is a busy guy though, so I am not holding my breath. Sure would be nice though. Another reason to keep things respectful around here. You never know who is looking... *don't want to go frightening people* (quick now... who said that and in what film?)

Wait a minute! Are you sure that Tom was born on 25th August? In many websites it said that Tommy was born on 30th November! What can you say about it? I love you. By Last year when Tom ran in the Great South Run his stats for the race were posted and his birthdate was on it. See... We are not sure why there were always so many varied dates. This does not include the year 1967 but he verified that with his comment in the 2006 interview about A Good Year and wine: "...I do hope so," he laughs. "My most treasured possession is a bottle of 1967 Dom Pérignon, which I've been saving for my 40th next year. I'd hate to croak before I'd sampled that." Here it is if you haven't read it: Good lines and great wines
