My name is Sara and as a teenager I watched Masterpiece Theatre religiously (nerd alert!). I fell in love with Tom when I first saw Wives and Daughters. I was 16! I work in theater; a sometimes actress, and an all-the-time sound designer. You seem to have a lovely little group here so I thought I'd throw my hat into the "I heart TH" ring. Because I do. P.S. This smiley has nothing to do with my post, I just find it hilarious.

It is wonderful to have you join our little community. So many people lurk for one reason or another so we are glad to have you introduce yourself. And how exciting that you are in theatre! Love your avatar too. I remember the first time I saw that image. It was yet another moment when I wished for that darn time machine! ~Deb

Thanks for the warm welcome! I've been known as "Sara without the h" my whole life, so feel free to use and abuse the moniker. ineko, I love your avatar! And Deb, I got my avatar from your site! That's my fav pic of him. It reminds me of when I studied clown in undergrad --french and italian tradition, not Ringling Bros. Sarah, I think this town IS big enough for the two of us, ha ha! Ani, thanks for embracing my nerdness, and I'm happy the NYCers are representing, ukelelehip. Cheers, Sara without the "h"

I never considered lurking. I signed up after about ten minutes!
A friend's partner is called Sara, and she is pronounced Saara. Maybe that is a British thing though..?

Lots of Americans say Sara like Sera, but mine is supposed to be a short "a" like the sound in "bat." I'm not sure if that is what you mean with your friend's version, or if you mean she's got the sound of "ah" in it. Either way, here's to all the many Sara(h)s in the world!
