Hello!! I'm ineko, Japanese and am learning English. ( If my English is bad to understand, please forgive me ) And of course, I'm a huge fan of Tom I've been member of this forum for a year, but I haven't said a word yet. So, I think I should come out of hiding, and introduce myself. ( Thank you for encouraging me, Deb! ) Well, Umm..., first time I saw Tom was "PotC 2&3", as Lord Cutler Beckett. His acting in the films is BRILLIANT! But actually, I didn't notice him at first. When I saw PotC2 on DVD, I immediately fell in love with Jack Davenport as Norrington ;D Then, I went to the cinema to see "PotC3" for Davenport. At that time, "A Good Year" was too on screen in Japan, so somehow, I decided to watch both of the films. After watching the films, I became a fan of Tom! In Japan, he isn't known much, honestly. Many of his films haven't been on screen or DVD (For example, "In The Loop", "Lawless Heart", and "Maybe Baby". They haven't been on screen here. I'm so sad I've bought the DVDs with AmazonUK and watched them, though. ) And also, there isn't enough information about him. So, I decide to learn English, and do research into him on the Internet. And finally... Here I am! ;D I would like to join in the conversation about Tom sometimes. Thank you.

Hi ineko, glad to see you here. (I'm Sasha... we were talking on Twitter a little some days ago). You know I'm learning English also. You know it was hard for me to write something here when I only had joined but now I feel pretty good here. I think it's very good that you decided to post messages. Hehe, I started to learn English because of Tom also. And it also seems to me that I'm the one of his fans in my country (I'm from Ukraine). But I feel proud of it. So you must be proud to be the biggest fan of him in Japan! And yes, I have the same problems to find his movies here. It seems to me that I even can't buy something on Amazon - but you know - I found some of his movies on YouTube. Try to do it also. Hope to see more your posts. Your English is good btw.

Hello Ineko! I am very impressed with your English skills, and Sasha's too! I can't imagine learning so much so quickly. Deb and the gang here take very good care of Tom, don't they?
Ineko, Deb tells me you are a fan of Bill Nighy, too. Meet your twin: me! His is my very favorite Voice. I love collecting his radio plays and readings. Deb knows I can't resist a good Voice -- I have tried to collect Tom's radio/reading work, too.
Welcome!

I'm a big fan of Bill Nighy! ;D I too love his voice. His is really sweet, smooth, and...um...I don't know how to tell my feeling by English. Anyway, I like listening to his radio dramas on the Internet. I can't understand much, though. As I'm a huge fan of Tom, I'd wanted to see all of his film. So, I watched and love some of them. PotC, Valkyrie, Lawless Heart, and The Lost Prince! And Bill is in all of them, I was surprised. As I watched them over and over, I was eventually being crazy about Bill. He is in really many TV & films with Tom, isn' t he? I hope such things will happen again some day.

Hello, ineko! I am new here, too. You do not ever need to be worried about your 'English' here, or anywhere! My roommate while I was in college is from Japan, her name is Fumiko, and she was always so embarrassed and I would have to remind her that her English skills were excellent! Then, she would tease me about my Japanese. I only know how to say one thing: "I am finally cleaning the kitchen!" (I was a messy roommate). It sounds like I'm saying, "Akiera te ishtemas!" That's all I know of your language, so I am humbled by your excellent knowledge of mine!

As English is very different from Japanese, It's hard to learn English for Japanese. And I think that most of Japanese are too humbled about their own ability. So, they are nervous and embarrased about their English skills. (I am, too.) For that, I have sympathy for your ex-roommate, Fumiko. But they (and I, of course ) must summon up the courage to use English more freely, as you said. I'll try to be not worried from now on. Thank you.

Ooooh! Thank you for your kindness! Redwine! (And of course, I thank Deb too!) I really appreciate it. TWO films starring Bill will be released on cinema in Japan, this very month...Wow! So, this month is a Bill Nighy's month in Japan, isn't it? ;D (At least for me ) Of course, I'll go to the cinema and see them. I can't wait to see.... Then. Homework.... I don't like the word, homework, because...you know, I'm not good at such a thing. (And I wasn't a good student years ago. Hehe.) But this time, I want to do this homework! Important Bill Nighy phrase....what a lovely phrase... "You groove me out." I checked my dictionary, but this phrase is...unfortunately not in it. Hmm...perhaps, I must check some of web dictionary later. Btw, that YouTube video is so funny! And I've not seen it until now. (I guess, at first, Bill misinterpretedat the man's action as taking the photo, didn't he?) He's really funny and also very gentle. I love him so much! Thank you.
