Aww, I didn't even see him mentioned! Although Jeremy Irons does have a nice voice, but so does Tom and Tom's former co-stars, Jack Davenport and Ben Miles.

Its funny, i listened to the examples of the ideal male and female voices on that article...and they weren't appealing at all to me....The guys voice wasn't deep or gravelly enough, as they say we supposidly like....anyway....I see what you mean Heartsafire, Tom would deffinately get my vote for best male voice.... Its interesting to note, that he has all the capabilitlies in his speech they they say are best in readers and radio presenters....He's perfect!.....but...we all new that already....

I agree with Jeremy Irons, he has a captivating voice...but Tom is so much better! How could he not even get a mention! Dani, I think it's about time you and I opened out University to educate people as to the wonders of Tom! PEOPLE JUST AREN'T EDUCATED! Part of the curriculum could be "listen to twenty minutes of Tom's voice a day".
BTW - ericadawn, if you ever check this thread again - your signature is marvellous...I cannot stop watching it.

Maybe Lou and i can campaign for you and see if we can get that 8th spot up into to the top 5 for Australia....hehehe....

;D To aid in the "Australia for Tom" campaign, I will wear a t-shirt proclaiming how wonderful he is. Plus, I shall open up a little store at Salamanca Market (a big attraction in Hobart) devoted to Tom. If I'm lucky, I might be able to purchase the rights to the Tasmanian "Love this..." campaign, and make some "Love this Tom Hollander" bumper stickers. This would either convert people to the wonders of Tom, or just assure everyone in Hobart that I am a nutcase.
As for Tom Hollander university Dani, I was thinking along the lines of these courses: TOM171 - Voice Appreciation studies TOM147 - The History of Hollander TOM177 - Tom in theatre TOM127 - Tom in film. They can be the first year subjects, which branch into more specific fields. You can graduate with a degree in Tom appreciation. Sure to be a hit! I'll be head lecturer of TOM237/337 - the Wonders of Cutler Beckett. There will also be TOM278/378 - the Wonders of Leon.
Terribly sorry, my creativity ran away from me. I'd best bottle it up for my new fanfiction "Cutler goes Downunder" - it's on it's way Dani!
I also seemed to have branched from the original subject matter - so I'll add this - he sounds marvellous in Royal Jelly. That alone should have put him in the top ten voices!

I heard a rumour they just made it part of the full course - TOM440/590 - Tom's Rainbow Adventures.*
