Enid has it's first transmission next week and there was very little cover in the Radio Times.....just to warn you. It is only on a digital channel so it would be hard to command a bit splash but there will be a tiny bit and a picture, no doubt. Digiguide has the first showing listed as 28th Nov but that makes no sense. I'm sure it will be shown then, but the first airing will be a week after Enid.

Oh, Wow! We'll be able to see it soon! Finally! I can hardly wait! (Btw, as I read the "Famous Five" series and love them, I'm really looking forward to "Enid" too. )

I saw Enid on the big screen, ineko. It's a good piece and a lovely cast. Digiguide have corrected their site & have added some more dates and times.

I can't wait to watch this whole series. Enid more from personal interest, Gracie for Tom but I love these period biography pieces. So interesting and I know they're gonna be good.
Did anyone see the bio-drama thingies last year of the comedians? Even though I didn't know any of them (all before my time!) I really really enjoyed them all. BBC does these things so well I wish they'd put such quality on BBCOne and show the kids what real writing, acting and drama is.

I hope there's some way for us Americans to see it. I would be sad to miss it! All three actually sound quite interesting, and I do love Helena Bonham Carter.

You can get what we have which is this: www.vpnuk.info/It allows access to UK TV and I watch programs on BBC iPlayer all the time. It costs us about $11 per month and is so totally worth it. Especially since the iPlayer allows you to watch when you want and usually for up to 7 days after the broadcast. Also, if you have a region-free DVD player (or can pop it into your computer and don't mind changing your region code) it is available for pre-order at Amazon UK: Gracie! MargotIt says that Enid is not available yet but you can sign up to be notified. I can't imagine that they would do the other two and not Enid.

Although I've pre-ordered the DVD already, I've purchased the service too. (Thank you for recommending it, Deb! ) Though it's a bit slow to me, I think it's a great service! (Perhaps, my PC is very old... It took more than an hour to download fifteen minutes programme! I'm wondering whether I should purchase a dedicated VPN IP account or not.)

I am not sure how you are doing it but I found that once I downloaded a program (I tried with Desperate Romantics before I bought the DVD) I could not play it. We just watch stuff on iPlayer without downloading it. I have Snapz Pro on my laptop so I can capture things that way if I want to keep it. For us it is just a matter of connecting the to VPNUK while we watch then we disconnect when it is over.

For us it is just a matter of connecting the to VPNUK while we watch then we disconnect when it is over. Oh, how I downloaded and watched the programme is really easy. I found the button which had the text "Download (or something like this)" at the bottom right of the playing area. The button allowed me to download the programme which can play with Windows Media Player or the BBC iPlayer Desktop software without any delay. But unfortunately, as you said, it can be allowed to watch only 7 days after the first time it's played. So, I was really glad to hear that there's an application which can capture things to keep! I didn't know that! Of course I'll buy the DVD asap, but as it'll take quite a while to be available on DVD, I want to watch it again and again while waiting! Thank you for the information! (However, as I'm using a Windows PC, I can't use the Snapz Pro. I must look for something else like it for Windows.)

When are they filming Handle With Care? They haven't started yet have they and I imagine won't till the new year? So I imagine it might be out at the beginning of the summer at the earliest. But I guess they might wait even later before they air it who knows...
I just hope the BBC don't do what they very often do with good dramas or shows, which is put it out on some stupid day at some stupid time and then moan about it.

Thanks! I forgot about the count down until Irene mentioned it the other night at our TomChat. I wish we had a date for Handle with Prayer. I know! Pretty soon we'll have little countdown meters for all of Tom's upcoming projects. Re. Handle with Prayer, I think that starts filming very soon; mid-late January, by that initial article's info. I am not as familiar with the broadcast timing of the BBC as you all are, though - you know, their turnaround on their TV series' - from the can and over the airwaves. I just hope they don't do to it what they did to The Announcement because that looked brilliant. (Sigh!)
