".....Tom Hollander has joined CBS' drama presentation 'The Meant to Be's'....." "'Meant,' from CBS Par, is a romantic drama about a young woman (Amy Smart) who dies, but in order to 'pass over,' she must return to Earth and help people improve their lives. Hollander will play the head of the Fate division who is bending the rules to save lives. Hollander recently wrapped DreamWorks' 'The Soloist' and next will be seen in 'Valkyrie.' He is repped by UTA, U.K.-based Independent agency and attorney Carlos Goodman." www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i0f3a7216274d5d820d479bef7d023d36

Thanks to Hollandazed for posting this on "The Meant to Be's". This explains why we have not seen much lately. He is probably hanging out in Hollywood where he is sadly unknown.

Well, I've liked his American accent before...especially in Piccadilly Jim!

I want to hear his American accent. I wish Hollywood wasn't so far away ... I wanna see him! Well Hollywood *is* close to me (I was born in the area—Burbank to be exact) ... a 2 hour drive from San Diego and I can't even see him. People seem to be under the mistaken idea that you can just go up there and see stars. You have to know where they are first and even then studios have security. You can't just walk in and say you want to see Tom Hollander. As for the American accent...I would rather hear his own voice. His beautiful voice is a huge part of his charm to me. I have a feeling he may be doing the American accent in The Soloist too...just a feeling.

Cool news. Is this to be a series or a made for TV movie? Still working on finding out more about this. I am thinking it is probably an on-going series but at the moment I think it is a pilot. We'll see...stay tuned!

Cool news. Is this to be a series or a made for TV movie? Still working on finding out more about this. I am thinking it is probably an on-going series but at the moment I think it is a pilot. We'll see...stay tuned! It is a pilot that has been in the works for some time (see related articles below). Interestingly, it is another paranormal narrative written by Glenn Gordon Caron of the popular series "Medium". CBS Gives Order to The Meant to Be's (Sept. 2006) www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=16493Amy Smart Leading Meant to Be's (a little more info on the storyline...) www.movieweb.com/tv/news/20/27520.php"romantic drama about Janine (Smart), a wealthy young gallery owner in New York who elopes one night only to be thrown from her 40th-floor balcony en route to her honeymoon. She becomes a "Meant to Be," helping people on Earth head in the "meant to be" direction before she can go to heaven."

p.s.: who am I going to see at Norman this fall? ;D Would LOVE to be there in the autumn and if the timing were right, meet up with other Hollanderians attending. That would be an absolute dream!

What's happening with this? Was this show picked up? He's not listed on imdb.com.

What's happening with this? Was this show picked up? He's not listed on imdb.com. Not sure...I do know that I cringe every time I see that title! Couldn't they come up with a better one? If it is a series then it would be a chance to see him on a weekly basis but it would also mean that he would probably have to spend a lot of time in yucky LA...close to MY home turf.

It's odd that he is in London now. Maybe he's just here for a short time or he only has a recurring role but from what I can tell, most tv shows are actually shooting now in LA. You'd think he'd be there working and not hanging around London right now. However, he was awol for most of the summer, wasn't he? Maybe they're finished. I just hope he'll be in England for the Great South Run!
